How much exercise do I need to do daily to lose weight quickly?
I’m a 21 year old male, I’m 5′11″ and weigh around 13 and a half stone (188 pounds). I want to lose some weight quickly. A few months back I lost over a stone and a half in about three months just from eating a more sensible diet, with hardly any extra exercise. Unfortunately this weight has now crept back on again! I’d like to lose between a stone and a half and two stones more quickly now. Does anyone have any tips about how much daily exercise I should do - and what types also - in order to lose weight healthily and quickly? Thanks.
Losing weight is all about counting calories, as you found out the last time. I’ve found that a brisk walk for about a half hour will burn about 200 calories… not much. But it’s enough, when combined with a healthy diet, to lose weight at about a pound a week. If you want to lose it quicker, double the length of time to about an hour, or simply run instead of walking. Swimming is an excellent calorie burner as is a brisk bicycle ride as well. How can I lose weight quickly for a photoshoot in 10 days?
I have a photoshoot coming up in about 10 days. I don’t care if it’s healthy or not, I just need to slim down a bit, and shed hopefully about 5-10 pounds. Don’t leave responses about healthy lifestyles, because this is just an urgent question, I know how to take care of myself. I just need to lose some pounds before the shoot. I know wrestlers learn how to lose pounds quickly, to make weight. Anyone knowledgable in that department, or can give any tips on quick weight loss…please help!
Dangerously long sauna sessions, anything you can do to sweat, starving yourself and lots of water, if you don’t drink water your body will start to horde it and you will become bloated, if you want that “shrink-wrapped” look then avoid water and eat dry oatmeal/cereal for 2-3 days before the shoot. Eating dry grains will pull the water from under your skin in order to digest the food. Wear soft comfortable shoes as you will not have any padding on the bottom of your feet since no water will be there and a good moisturizer for your skin. You will feel like death but you’ll look great, if that’s what your going for.
What kind of a weightloss or healthy diet plan would work for you?
I’m sure you have all tried some kind of diet. If I could design the perfect wieghtloss diet or healthy diet program for you, what would I need to do? Think of what would make you enthusiastic enough to not quit, but look forward to continuing this program on a daily basis for the rest of your life.
A food plan that is easy to follow without any expensive things to buy. A food plan that lets me feel satified with every meal and not still starving. A food plan that allows me the freedom to choose what I want to eat - within reason. A food plan that doesn’t cut out one or more food groups. A food plan that gives good results on the scales and in inches. A food plan that doesn’t make me tired and leaves me with no energy and headaches. A food plan that lets you have a little treat every now and again without you putting 2Lbs back on. A food plan that feels like a food plan and not a DIET. I think that is all I could really ask for. Hope this helps. Bon
What are some really good and really fast ways to lose weight?
I need to lose 30 pounds by the beginning of July. What are some fast and healthy ways to lose weight?
healthy way to lose weight: • Learn something new • Take up a new hobby • Do a yoga class • Walk the dog • Phone a friend. All of these are successful ways of combating non-hungry eating at night. However if you are genuinely watching television for relaxation and enjoyment, but find that over-grazing in front of the TV has become a habit for you, then try to change it in some way. This may just be sitting in a different chair or watching the set in a different room - just change the routine as a means to break the pattern of unnecessary eating.
How can I manage a healthy diet with a family?
Hi everyone. I have four children and have found myself putting on a lot of weight lately. I want to get fit and healthy again (and fit into some of my clothes!!). The youngest is only 1 and it is hard to go for walks or the gym with 4 kids to take care of. My husband does shift work and I am kind of stuck. I love to bake and always make things for the kids and end up eating it too. How can I work a healthier diet and somehow do some exercise with my family and kids in tow? Any suggestions? Has anyone tried exercise DVD’s? I think I’d get really bored with that.
My sister does exercise DVDs and really likes them. I have borrowed a few of hers but I would rather play music and dance. You can put the youngest in a stroller/buggy/wagon and all go for a walk. Put your WHOLE FAMILY on a healthy eating plan. Good eating habits need to be developed at a very young age. Children can be so active it seems that they never put on weight; but as a teacher every year I see more and more overweight children. Did you know that the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables for children and adults is 10 serving a day? A serving is 8 bites… children’s bites are smaller. Don’t give up your baking, however, bake fruit pies instead of cake made with white flour. Try using whole wheat and other whole grains in your baking. Use none fat powdered milk for baking… it is healthier and cheaper too. Add a few nuts and also fruit to your baked goods. There are many healthy food sites. I’ll put my favorite the the source box. There are many good ones… Yahoo’s food site is handy to pull up, too.
