What kind of a weightloss or healthy diet plan would work for you?
I’m sure you have all tried some kind of diet. If I could design the perfect wieghtloss diet or healthy diet program for you, what would I need to do? Think of what would make you enthusiastic enough to not quit, but look forward to continuing this program on a daily basis for the rest of your life.
A food plan that is easy to follow without any expensive things to buy. A food plan that lets me feel satified with every meal and not still starving. A food plan that allows me the freedom to choose what I want to eat - within reason. A food plan that doesn’t cut out one or more food groups. A food plan that gives good results on the scales and in inches. A food plan that doesn’t make me tired and leaves me with no energy and headaches. A food plan that lets you have a little treat every now and again without you putting 2Lbs back on. A food plan that feels like a food plan and not a DIET. I think that is all I could really ask for. Hope this helps. Bon
How can I manage a healthy diet with a family?
Hi everyone. I have four children and have found myself putting on a lot of weight lately. I want to get fit and healthy again (and fit into some of my clothes!!). The youngest is only 1 and it is hard to go for walks or the gym with 4 kids to take care of. My husband does shift work and I am kind of stuck. I love to bake and always make things for the kids and end up eating it too. How can I work a healthier diet and somehow do some exercise with my family and kids in tow? Any suggestions? Has anyone tried exercise DVD’s? I think I’d get really bored with that.
My sister does exercise DVDs and really likes them. I have borrowed a few of hers but I would rather play music and dance. You can put the youngest in a stroller/buggy/wagon and all go for a walk. Put your WHOLE FAMILY on a healthy eating plan. Good eating habits need to be developed at a very young age. Children can be so active it seems that they never put on weight; but as a teacher every year I see more and more overweight children. Did you know that the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables for children and adults is 10 serving a day? A serving is 8 bites… children’s bites are smaller. Don’t give up your baking, however, bake fruit pies instead of cake made with white flour. Try using whole wheat and other whole grains in your baking. Use none fat powdered milk for baking… it is healthier and cheaper too. Add a few nuts and also fruit to your baked goods. There are many healthy food sites. I’ll put my favorite the the source box. There are many good ones… Yahoo’s food site is handy to pull up, too.
What is a good healthy diet to achieve my weight loss goals ?
Hello, Okay this is my situation I just turned 18 my height is about 5′10 I weight about 130 (and I feel I am overweight) and I want to go down to 120-122, does anybody have a good suggestion for a good healthy diet to achieve that goal, thanks in advance.
The best way to do this is to go to a website called choosemyplate.gov. There, they have all the tools you need to plan your weight loss. They have a tool, specifically, where you input your height, weight, age, and whether you’re looking to lose, gain, or maintain your current weight. Once you do that and create an account, it will provide you with your current BMI (body mass index) and create for you a personalized food pyramid guide that will tell you what kinds of foods to eat and how much of it your need in order to reach your goals. There are also food diaries as well as exercise diaries to track your progress (it will even tell you which nutrients you are getting enough of, getting too much of, or getting too little of in your food diary, so you can be healthier on the inside as well as looking it on the outside). The best part is that all of it is free!
I don’t personally think that your current weight to height ratio is a problem (I am pretty sure your BMI falls in the healthy range), but you need to also keep in mind that dieting alone is not a healthy way to achieve your weight loss goals. Good general advice for anyone looking to lose weight is to take in about 1500-1800 calories per day–depending upon your activity level–consisting of a wide variety of healthy foods (fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meats, low-fat and fat-free dairy, and healthy fats like omega 3, 6, and 9). It is also important to get moderate to strenuous exercise for 30 minutes at least 5 days a week to lose weight.

What is a healthy diet plan for a 15 year old?
Hello, I am trying to go on a diet plan and I am wondering what a healthy and effective diet is for a 15 year old. What should I eat for Breakfast, lunch and dinner, (plus snacks). Thank you I appreciate it!
Eat a light breakfast like your favorite yogurt or a slice of Sara lee pound cake (3 inches) with some berries. Eat a breakfast bar for snack between lunch and eat a nice heavy lunch but not pasts or you’ll fall asleep in class. Eat an apple between lunch and dinner. Eat eggs for dinner any kind that will feel u up. OR you can skip the diet and if you really want to lose weight eat a fruit (any kind) right before breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your body will automatically make you eat less Bc fruit fills u up very quickly.
